How a Williams Recruitment engagement works

Retained search, transparent fees

I work retained, not contingency. Every engagement is exclusive — one search, one client at a time.
The fee is 30% of the role's first-year compensation (base salary plus target bonus). 10% of that fee is paid upfront as a retainer to begin the search; the balance is paid on placement.
Every search is backed by Williams365 — a full 12-month placement guarantee. If your hire leaves or underperforms within twelve months, I re-run the search at no additional cost.

The four-stage process

1. Brief and alignment — week 1

Intake workshop with the hiring manager and key stakeholders. I define the role, the operating context, the must-haves, the deal-breakers, and the candidate scorecard. You sign off the brief before any approach begins.

2. Mapped search — weeks 2 to 5

Market mapping of the relevant talent pool. Direct, named approach to active and passive candidates. Pre-qualification on fit, motivation, and compensation. You receive a weekly written progress update.

3. Shortlist — weeks 5 to 8

A shortlist of 3 to 5 finalists presented with written assessment, video interview summary, and compensation expectations. Client interviews scheduled and supported. Deep references taken on finalists before offer.

4. Offer and onboarding — weeks 8 to 12

Offer structuring and negotiation support. Counter-offer management. 30, 60, and 90 day post-start check-ins with both the placement and the hiring manager. Williams365 cover begins on day one.
